Hi Nick,

Of course I remember you. No I am not teaching. I am attempting to start a publishing company. I have been trying to sell my book, "The Language of Organic Chemistry". That has been really slow going. I have been working on re-thinking what I did in creating the book into ideas that can attract students and professors at other colleges and universities. You can see my current version at www.curvedarrowpress.com. I have so much to do to fix different things. My to do list is llooooonnnnnggggg. I basically need to re-write the book, less to correct errors at this point and more to improve the formating and appearance. At the same time, I need to create new marketing opportunities. I learned just this week that I can distribute a pdf file of the book and still retain control of it. That should mean that if I create a pdf version, then I can give it away (which is cheap to do) but still retain control. That is far cheaper than printing and shipping example copies. Because the file will expire, I shouldn't have to  worry about competing with a free pirate version of my book. I am also looking into a company that will let me explore selling solutions to reactions. My goal there would be make inexpensive individual sales of portions of the book which would also promote the book, but would be an alternate revenue stream.

How are you doing and what are you up to?
Nick
